સૌથી મોટા ફેરફાર પૈકીનો એક ટિકિટ બુકિંગની પદ્ધતિમાં થયો છે. અગાઉ યાત્રીઓને ટિકિટ બૂક કરાવવા માટે ઓપરેટર/ એજન્ટ્સની ઓફિસે જવું પડતું હતું અને યાત્રી રિટર્ન ટિકિટ બૂક કરાવી શકતા નહોતા. આજે બસની ટિકિટ નીચે જણાવેલ પદ્ધતિઓથી બુક કરી શકાય છે

આજે પાંચ ટકા ભારતીયોએ તેમની ટિકિટનું ઓનલાઇન બૂકિંગ કરાવવાનું શરૂ કર્યું છે અને આ વસતિ દરરોજ વધી રહી છે. અગાઉ રવાનગીના અમુક કલાકો/ મિનિટો પૂર્વે બસની ટિકિટોનું બુકિંગ થતુ હતું, જ્યારે આજે પરિસ્થિતિ એવી છે કે આશરે 32 ટકા લોકો યાત્રાના દિવસે બૂક કરાવે છે, જ્યારે 24 ટકા લોકો યાત્રાના એક દિવસ પહેલા ટિકિટ બૂક કરાવે છે અને તહેવારો કે રજાની સિઝન દરમિયાન ટિકિટનું બુકિંગ લગભગ 15-20 દિવસ પહેલા કરાવાય છે. 13 જાન્યુઆરી બાદથી ઓનલાઇન બસ બૂકિંગમાં 185 ટકાનો ભારે વૃદ્ધિદર નોંધાયો છે.

ભારતમાં આજે સમગ્ર દેશમાં 2,000 સંગઠિત ખાનગી બસ ઓપરેટર્સ છે, જેઓ 20,000 લક્ઝરી બસનો કાફલો ધરાવે છે, જે પૈકીની આશરે 20 ટકા બસ એસી. બસ કેટેગરીમાં આવે છે. કુલ ઓનલાઇન બૂકિંગ પૈકીનું 72 ટકા બૂકિંગ એ.સી. બસ માટે અને 28 ટકા બૂકિંગ એ.સી. સિવાયની બસ માટે થાય છે. આ 2,000 ખાનગી બસ ઓપરેટર્સ વ્યક્તિગતપણે ઓછામાં ઓછાં 10 શહેરને સેવા પૂરી પાડે છે તથા પ્રત્યેક શહેરમાં તેમની પોતાની ઓછામાં ઓછી ઓફિસનું નેટવર્કિંગ ધરાવે છે તથા કમ્પ્યૂટર આધારિત ટિકિટના લીધે વાસ્તવિક સમયના ધોરણે ઇન્વેન્ટરીનું મેનેજમેન્ટ થાય છે, આ રીતે બસમાં બેઠક પ્રાપ્તિનો દર વધી રહ્યો છે.

• Janitors duly is to keep the washroom at our office/Waiting lounge and in our buses clean. We all need to answer nature's call at frequent intervals and we all need a good clean washroom for the same. 

• Ticket booking staff & agents: These are the people who are our eyes,ears and nose, They are responsible for ticket booking and bringing business to the organisation. Their interaction is highest with the customers. Their behavior matters the most to customers, they not only provide all the information to the customer but also help them understand and help them with a smoother booking of tickets.

• Cleaners:  The responsibility is to keep the bus clean and tidy for travel. The bus needs to be cleaned not only from inside but also from outside,It takes around 2 hours to clean the entire bus as there is lot of litter in the bus in the form of empty packets,bottles,wrappers and papers. It is very necessary to keep the bus clean for the next ride as it forms a very important part of the customer experience. Thus our cleaners work relentlessly to keep the vehicle speak and span.

• Attendants and Helpers: These are those people who travel with the bus,their responsibility is to provide you the amenities like water bottle, Blanket,loading and unloading your luggage along with timely informing customers about the halts and approaching destinations. They handle the entertainment system also.

                                        

• Call centre employees: These are the back end people of our organization,who are never seen but always heard. They manage the entire call centre and online booking along with handling all your queries.

• Accountants:  They manage the cash flows for the company, movement of money and licensee and permissions.

• Drivers: These are key personnel of our entire organization. They are responsible for your actual movement from one place to another. They make you reach destination soundly  and safely.It is their driving skills which determiners the smoothness of the ride. Their ability to drive through traffic,terrains,bumps,fog and rains helps form the opinion of the company and its services.

We are fortunate that our drivers are associated with us for over 2 decades now.They care for our business as their own business and we as responsible employers take care of them and their family.

We have a staff of around 500 people so our extended  family comprises of 2000 people. With  2000 passengers travelling with us and their extended family comprises of 8000 people. So overall we are able to bring smile to 10,000 life each day.

Our Journey

Eagle travels commenced its corporate journey under the leadership of Late Sh Rasiklal Damjibhai Bavaria(Golwala) in the year 1978.  Our founder chairman was a man of vision & possessed exemplary quality who always thought beyond the horizons. He believed in being focused & sharp like an Eagle, which is the king of the birds & is known for its agility & precision. "It was his passion to serve people & help them with better facilities while travelling"., He introduced “Comfort” to the travel industry. This attitude of his made his develop buses with entertainment facility way back in the year 1980 when television was also not introduced.

Previous to our launch of bus services between Rajkot & Mumbai in the year 1978, Eagle travels was known as ‘Saurashtra tourist corporation’ & used to lease bus for corporate affairs & wedding functions. What began with a fleet of 2 buses having its services in just 2 cities with one departure in a day has today reached a fleet size of over 200 buses covering over 30 cities in 6 states of India with over 75 departures in a day.

Eagle Corporation diversified to new businesses in the year 1995, Eagle entered into retailing of petroleum products, C&F agents for various FMCG companies like Amul, Adani Wilmar , Havmor, Pepsi among others. Eagle also took up automobile dealerships for Kinectic Honda,Ford cars, Vespa,Suzuki & Ashok Leyland along with starting Parcel services to all destinations covered by Eagle travels network.

Our founder chairman was a noble man who believed in giving back to the society whole heartly, He was Counsellor of Rajkot Municipal Corporation for several years along with being Trustee in several temples & organisations. He used to allow free travel for patients & sick people & used to pay school fees for underprivileged children. He even used to manufacture medicines for ‘Diabetics’ & used to distribute it free for cost.

The vision & mission of our founder chairman is now being taken ahead by his able son Mr Jayendra Rasikbhai Bavaria, who has been able to add several feather to Eagle’s wings. Our Current chairman Sh Jayendra Rasikbhai Bavaria has the same passion as his father, He was actively involved in this business since he was almost 16 years old, He used to undertake long overnight journey to Udaipur  for monitoring coach building operation sometimes this journey was carried out standing. His passion towards his work is so high that he never realized he is taking such pains. Mr Bavaria is always keen on bringing new technology in the business, He was instrumental in being the 1^st travel operator in Gujarat & western region to bring Volvo, Mercedes Single & Multi axles buses. 

He understood the importance of serving customer better by introducing bottled water free of charge to each passenger. He brought WIFI in buses to keep the customer connected during their travel. It is under Mr Bavaria’s leadership that  Eagle Travels became the first travel operator in the country to introduce computerized tickets & also set up a dedicated call centre for ticket booking. He believes in being technologically advanced, this approach made him the 1^st travel operator to link all their booking offices.

Mr Bavaria is also the President of Gujarat Tourist vehicle federation & represents the private bus operators industry to various government bodies & agencies. He is a customer service oriented man, who personally oversees that customer satisfaction has to be achieved at any point of time.

 He is now being assisted by his children Mr Darshan Bavaria. CLUB ONE Eagle’s new initiative in super luxury travel is the brain child of Mr Darshan Bavaria.

 8th June 1938 a small boy took birth in Rajkot in a family of 8 consisting of 3 Brothers & 3 Sisters, Little did anyone know that this small boy  in the years to come will reshape the way people travel.  The world knows this small boy as Lt Sh Rasiklal Damjibhai Golwala, A visionary, a leader, a mentor, a guide, an philantrophist, a passionate man, a go getter and most importantly a pioneer who laid the strong foundation of Eagle Corporation Pvt Ltd..Eagle today is an household name in Gujarat as its various business includes Petrol Pump,  several Automobile dealerships namely Kinetic Honda, Ford,Vespa,Suzuki 2 Wheelers,Ashok Leyland Commerical Vehicles, Clearing & Forwarding agent for Indian & Multinational brands like Adani Wilmar's Fortune,Havmor,Pepsi, Amul Diary  & above all  Eagle Travels , the flagship company of the group into Bus operations & services across 6 states & 30 cities now.

Sh Rasiklal was very passionate about travel, Bus,Comfort. He always had this in the back of his mind to do something in this field,Opportunity knocked at the door in the form of an arrival of a marriage party in Rajkot from Mumbai & He was given the task to arrange a bus for the travel of this marriage party from railway station, All bookings were done & everything was in order when at the last moment the bus operator ditched, this incident left Sh Rasiklal take instant decision to find an alternative & also planted the seed to commence a travel service. In the year 1972 he self drove a dosz truck from Delhi to Rajkot converted into a bus & started renting it out to Marriage party & corporate tourist booking under the name of "Saurashtra tourist corporation".

"Fortune always favours the brave". In the year 1976 Railway bridge at Damanaganga river collapsed due to heavy rains & the traffic was badly hit. It was in this year when for the first time the bus was made to run between Rajkot & Mumbai.

 This last 5 years gave him enough courage & Confidence to start a full fledged travel services which today is known as EAGLE TRAVELS. A small humble beginning from 2 buses to just one city has today grown to over 200 buses, covering over 30 cities in 6 states with over 80 departures in a day.

Sh Rasiklal was a passionate man & also a visionary, He wanted to be the best in whatever he was involved with such integrity make him adopt EAGLE as the name & logo of the company.He always believed in "BEING A STEP AHEAD.....ALWAYS", this became the motto of the company, EAGLE the king of birds is known for its agility & precision, Sh Rasiklal believed in imbibing such standards in his company & he has been successful in doing so. Sh Rasiklal is survived by his 4 children who handle all the business of Eagle Corporation. Eagle Travels is being helmed by Sh Jayendra Bavaria & he is now trying to imbibe the same learning in his children & Sh Darshan Bavaria has started to groom himself for the days to come.

Our Founder Chairman was also very active socially & philanthropically . He was Counsellor of Rajkot Municipal Corporation for 7 years, He was also the Trustee of Lohana Samaj & along with Trustee in several temples, He did carry out such initiates for the upliftment of Poor  & allowed free travel to sick patients & gave school fees for underprivileged children. He was also a very research oriented person, Once he was diagonised with Diabetics, he carried out several research & produced a powder to help reduce & control Diabetics, He was so passionate & altruism that he got a pulverising machine in order to create this powder in bulk & give it away for free to people who were having diabetics. He did this without fail for almost a decade & there used to be a long queue of people to get it.

He was always full of energy & ideas & focused on what best to give to his customers so that they can have a comfortable journey, Such enthusiasm & dedication towards service made his go to Singapore & get projector system in order to provide entertainment for passengers, He did this in the year 1978-79 when television was also not heard off. 

We are thankful to the almighty for giving us such a leader, a Mentor, a  guide & above all a noble person who brought a revolution & change.

Rajkot- Our Birthplace.

Rajkot (Gujarati: રાજકોટ Rājkot) is the fourth largest city in the state of Gujarat, India, after Ahmedabad, Surat, andVadodara. Rajkot is the 35th-largest urban agglomeration in India, with a population more than 1.6 million as of 2012. Rajkot is also the 22nd-fastest-growing city in the world. Rajkot is frequently referred to as "Rangilu Rajkot" (રંગીલુ રાજકોટ) meaning colorful Rajkot. The people of Rajkot like to enjoy themselves to the fullest no matter which season or time of the day. You can find them eating out at 1 am. Shopkeepers mostly close their business between 1.30 pm to 4.30 pm. Rajkot is famous for its jewellery market, silk embroidery and watch parts. The city hosts several small scale manufacturing industries. Some of the industrial products for which Rajkot is known include bearings, diesel engines, kitchen knives and other cutting appliances, watch parts (cases & bracelets), automotive parts, forging industry, casting industry, machine tools,submersible pumps share market and software development.Rajkot is also famous for its textile printing units, which produce cotton sulvar-suits and cotton print sarees, and also make a pure silk patoda.

It was in this very city of Rajkot that Eagle travels started its operations in the year 1978 with just 2 buses running between Rajkot - Mumbai under the aegis of our founder chairman Sh Rasiklal Damjibhai Golwala more out of a necessity. It was in the year 1971 when our founder chairman was given the responsibility to book bus in order to receive a marriage party arriving in Rajkot, Since the bus operator goofed up & Sh Rasiklal Damjilal

Golwala faced a lot of flax from his father,This incident became the root cause of the start of a travel company "Saurashtra Tourist Corporation" which today is known as Eagle Travels. Sh Rasiklal Damjilal Golwala started his operations in 1972 when he self drove a Dosz truck from Delhi & converted it into a bus. This bus was used for marriage & tourist work primarily when in the year 1976 Railway bridge at Damanaganga river collapsed due to heavy rains & the traffic was badly hit. It was in this year when for the first time the bus was made to run between Rajkot & Mumbai.  Such incidents raised the confidence of our founder chairman to take the plunge & start  bus services between Rajkot & Mumbai regularly.

There has been no looking back since then year on year new services were extended to places like Ahmedabad,Surat,Baroda,Porbander,Gandhinagar,Nashik,Pune, Udaipur,Nathdwara,Vapi,Silvassa,Jamnagar, Bhuj,Jaipur,Delhi,Indore,Banglore. With the bus ranging from Normal Seating, Non AC sleeper, AC sleeper, Volvo/Mercedes seating, Volvo Sleeper,Volvo/Mercedes Multi axle.

Today Eagle travels boasts of a large fleet of over 200 buses which only not ply across 25 cities but are also preferred mode of transport for companies like TORRENT, TATA NANO,AMW,ESSAR etc..

 In order to celebrate our completion of 35 years in the service, Eagle travels has launched super premium luxury services between Rajkot - Mumbai via Ahmedabad under the brand name of  CLUB ONE.

We know that the penetration of credit card in India is around 2 % & internet banking is also slowly growing so for all our customers who want to book tickets with us online & do not have a credit card/internet banking to pay can avail of  PAY LATER facility. Where by a passenger has a confirmed booking & has to pick up the ticket one hour before departure by paying at our office.

For passengers travelling long distance with us like to Delhi, Banglore we provide them with a blanket during the journey.

Our Volvo B9R bus & B7R bus have charging point in all seat sections so that our passengers do not have to face drained out battery of mobile, laptop ,ipod etc...

Our bus in the Jamnagar- Rajkot- Ahmedabad have WIFI facilities allowing our passengers to surf internet while on the move & not miss their important work & pleasure.

We provide a bottle of water to all our passengers along with entertainment in form of either personal LCD screen in case of AC sleeper & Volvo sleeper buses & 2 LCD screens in Volvo/Mercedes seating & multi axle buses.

We also have Eagle privilege card for all our regular patrons, We provide a 10 % discount on each booking starting from the time they issue the card with us. The privilege card comes with a small registration fees of Rs 200 & is valid for one year.

 According to TIME magazine 550 Million people travel in a year in India & 61 % of this travel use bus as their mode of travel. Bus as a medium carries over 355 crore people in a year. 1982 Launched Rajkot - Ahmedabad bus services. We had just 1 bus and we carried out 3 - 4     departures in a day.Today we have 36 departures in a day. Connecting these cities every one hour. One of our flagship bus routes.

1982 Launched Rajkot - Surat bus services via Baroda, 4 departures.
1883 Launched Rajkot to Baroda bus services with 3 departures in a day.
1985 Launched Rajkot to Porbander bus services.
1985 Launched Rajkot to Gandhinagar  bus services. First operator to start such bus services.
1986 Launched Rajkot to Pune bus services.

 1987 Launched  Rajkot to Udaipur - Nathadwara bus services.

1990 Launched Rajkot - Vapi -Silvassa bus services.
1992 Launched Rajkot - Mumbai - Sleeper Bus services. .

2002 Introduced Volvo bus In Gujarat and first of its kind. Refer to our previous blog: Pioneers.
2003 Launched Jamnagar- Rajkot - Ahmedabad. Today we have 18 departures in a day to connect Jamnagar.

2007 Launched Ahmedabad - Mumbai bus services. Daily 8 departures with Sleeper, Volvo Seating & Volvo sleeper buses. During peak season we increase our services up to 16 departures to meet ourpassengers demand.
2007 Non Stop Buses between Rajkot - Ahmedabad. A instant hit with passengers and growing strong with your support.

2008 New  Models of Volvo - Multi Axle being introduced.

2010 Introduction of Mercedes Multi Axle buses.
