Rajkot, 4th largest city of Gujarat, known the world over for its industries for Automobile parts, Bearings, Casting & Jewelry. Our Journey at Eagle Travels also began in this great city of Rajkot on 1st April in the year 1978 with our first services to Mumbai. Our bus services were equipped with 16 mm projector systems & we played movies for the entertainment of our customers. Television was not heard off in that era. Our founder chairman Late Sh. Rasikbhai Damjibhai Golwala always wanted to provide a service to its customers which no one else has thought of.  He did an extensive research on what could be possible solution. He figured out having a 16 mm projector system will solve the purpose, so he went to Singapore and got a projector system. He also arranged for film prints for screening. This laid foundation of the things to come in the future along with the motto of the company to "A step Ahead......Always."

Here are a few of our milestones in this journey of 35 years.

1st April 1978  Began operations with Rajkot to Mumbai service equipped with 16 mm projector.1st private operator to do so.

1983-84  Launched Rajkot - Baroda operations with Push Back Seats.1st private operator to do so.

1985  VCR ( Video Cassestee Recorder) introduced in Bus.

1992 Rajkot - Mumbai Sleeper services launched.  This bus had the capacity to carry 30 passengers, the bus was designed like railway compartment bunk beds & their were 5 compartment in total.1st private operator to do so. The Bus was designed indigenously by our Current Chairman Sh Jayendra Bhai Bavaria himself. He is associated with the business since he is 12 years old. He used to make trips to Bus body manufacturer in Udaipur alone every month to oversee the operations.

1996 Started providing Computerised booking tickets. The software was self developed for Eagle travel under the leadership of  our current chairman Sh Jayendra bhai Bavaria  in Foxpro language. A move never carried out by any one else.

2002  Introduced Volvo buses in Gujarat.

2004 Launched Website of Eagle Travels.

2007 Launched Non Stop Buses between Rajkot & Ahmedabad. A concept not heard previously.

        All branches of Eagle Travels were connected & linked for smoother ticket booking & transaction.

2009 Launched Mercedes buses in Gujarat.

2012 Launched a dedicated call centre for Safer,Faster & Easier ticket booking. 1st travel operator in the country to have a dedicated call centre.

         Launched Wi-Fi services on Jamnagar - Rajkot - Ahmedabad.

Dedication to bring smiles on the faces of its customers keeps us going from one stage to another. All this would not have been possible without the love, affection & warmth of its customers.

Traveling with the STAR

One of the first poems that we learnt as a child is “ Twinkle Twinkle  Little Star” . As we start younger we start following Sport stars, Film stars, Rockstars. We all are somewhere or other influenced by these stars.

One Star which has now started to play an important role in our life now a days is the star logo of Mercedes Benz. Mercedes Benz a brand synonym with luxury,comfort launched its buses in India in the year 2009. Mercedes buses come with large seating capacity,leg space,luggage space,fuel efficient engines equipped with powerful braking giving its passengers noiseless, reduced fatigue travel.

Eagle travels introduced Mercedes bus to its fleet in the same year when Mercedes launched buses in India. Eagle Travels with its mission to always be a step ahead is always on the look out for new initiatives.

Eagle travels started its non stop services between Rajkot & Ahmedabad using Mercedes buses equipped with chemical toilets. Non Stop buses between two destinations was never heard off in the gujarat market. With the start of such services Eagle Travels was able to cut down on the travel time of its passengers. Eagle travels was able to save the most precious possession of its customers which is “Time”. Eagle travels value its customers and considers them as Stars which is why it makes its customers travel with the star.
