Eagle Travels Gujarat’s No 1 bus operator got its name from its founder chairman Late Sh. Rasiklal Damjibhai Golwala, a dynamic man with a vision to foresee things in the right perspective. He was always focused on his goals towards giving “Comfort”  to its customers & always being a step ahead in its services & approach. It was under his able leadership that Eagle travels grew from 2 buses to 200 buses today.

Founder Chairman had a vision to set out its existence everywhere which also can be seen in the logo of Eagle Travels. An Eagle over the globe. Such Zeal for growth has enabled Eagle travels from being a service operator in Rajkot spread its wings to 15 cities across Gujarat, Maharashtra & Rajasthan.

The legacy of this great man is now being carried forward by his able son Mr Jayendra R Bavaria, Chairman & Managing Director,Eagle Corporate Pvt Ltd who believes “The Customer is our reason for being here”. Like his father he has also believed in being ‘Always a step … Ahead’, This motto has helped Eagle Travels become the first operator of Volvo & Mercedes buses in Gujarat region. Keeping with its commitment Eagle travels has launched its premium luxury services ‘Club One’.

Bringing Smiles

Our Journey at Eagle Travels began 33 years ago with just 2 buses and a motive to help people travel from one city to another .We always felt that our prime responsibility is towards our customers.We should be able to provide our customers  a travel which is comfortable, Leisurly, Convenient, Safe & most importantly timely.

In this journey of over 3 decades we have been able to bring smiles to the face of over 2 crore people by being a part of their progress, helping them reach their   destinations safely, sounded and on timely.

Eagle Travels play a role in the lives of  over 2000 people every day directly & over thousands others indirectly by making them travel in our fleet of over 200 buses including Volvo, Mercedes, ISUZU to 15 destinations across Western, Central & Northern Indian cities such as Rajkot, Bhuj, Gandhidham, Ahmedabad, Jamnagar, Porbander, Mundra, Mumbai, Udaipur, Nathadwara, Indore, Pune, Mumbai & Kolhapur with 75 departures daily.

Ports Of Gujarat

At the recently concluded Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, Shri Narendra Modi emphasized upon Gujarat’s growing importance in the world. He said, “Earlier, Gujarat was the gateway to the Globe from India. Now it is becoming the Global gateway to India.”  This is certainly true metaphorically, because of Gujarat’s engagements with the world in the fields of Industry, Education and Technology, it is also true literally, since today, Gujarat’s ports account for 26% of total national cargo and 72% of cargo handled by ports under State Governments of India. If the Kandla port is included, Gujarat handles 35% of the national cargo.

This has been possible because of Shri Narendra Modi’s vision, leadership and his focus on the holistic development of the entire coastal region. Gujarat has a coastline of 1600 Km, which is the largest among any state in India.Speaking about his ideas for the development of Gujarat’s coasts, Shri Modi said, “We have launched an ambitious programme for all round development of our coastal belts (Sagarkhedu Vikas Yojana). Along with this, we are setting up new port cities in coastal locations. Investments in world-class rail-road-pipeline infrastructure linking the coastline have helped Gujarat’s ports dominate India’s maritime scenario.”

Ports – an integral part of Gujarat’s Development Process

Laying down his vision for integrating ports with other Infrastructure, Shri Modi said, “Our progress and development is not just limited to ports. Our vision is for port led development with port based Special Economic Zones, ware-houses, cold storage networks, railroad connectivity and related infrastructure facilities being established”. Consequently, many of the SEZs planned and 9 of the 13 existing SIRs in Gujarat are port based.Realizing the importance of linking ports to roads and railways. This model has made connectivity possible at Mundra, Dahej, Pipavav Navlakhi, Bhavnagar and Okha.
